which tires are they again? how were your IAT's at 17psi with that goliath h/e? didn't you put in ARP rod bolts? - if so I think I'm going to do exactly that when the time comes to push the stock bottom end

glad to hear the converter and trans are working out well for you (as well as that "little 6.0 that could" )

the 6.0 has a few parts in it. cam, springs, pushrods, rod bolts and head studs. about $1000 or so.

the heat exchanger doesn't seem to help all that much at the track. my IAT's were about the same as before. at the track my starting IAT's all depend on what i do before the run. they creep up siting in the staging lanes, as high as 40deg above ambiant with the hood closed idleing for awhile. i think the HE helps alot on the street though, the recovery time is almost instant when the truck is moving. some ducting to the front of the truck would probably help. i never got that done.

on the street my IAT's are around 20deg above ambiant at the start of a run and about 20more deg above that by the end of a run. so 75deg out i see 95deg starting temp and 115deg or so at the end of a run. they drop back to 95 within a mile of driving.

What about running a small pusher fan on the front to cool down the heat exchanger when you have to sit in the staging lanes? And just toggle it on when needed?

What about purging onto the intercooler? What kind of tires were they again?

the tires are perilli scorpion zeros. something like a 285/65/16.

i have my puller fan pulling air thru the H/E all the time. the problem is the air from under the hood just pushes out everywhere and ends up infront of the truck if i am not moving and gets sucked back in.

it is my goal to have true ambiant temp water in the intercooler when i launch. not 20deg over and defiantely not 40deg over. some ducting from the radiator to my grill would help i think. another idea is to just put the H/E all the way back in the box with a fan on it. if i put it in the back i would go ahead and set up an ice box resevuar just in case i wanted to run some ice.

really it isn't a big concern right now and maybe never should be. i am not seeing any knock retard and if i want more air i can just turn the **** a little. right now traction and a stock motor are my limiting factors. my injectors have 20% left in them and the turbo has about 25% left in it. fuel pumps probably have more than that even so a shot of top of everything would be posiable. the intercooler really isn't holding me back.
