Get a locker and go for it.

I'll ask him how he did it. Plus they are not helping me much because the tranny shifts into 3rd gear about 100' before I cross the traps.

Those are some pretty decent times you got there, Tractionless. Did you take air out of the tires when you ran your truck?? I didn't take any air out of mine, perhaps it might have given me better timing. I agree with unklej that you have a 14sec truck, i guess it just depends on how good your reaction time is and other minor details. I also suggest going locker on your pewter and maybe replacing the gears. I do not understand why they place such crappy gears on our trucks, it's a v8 it's supposed to chug gas!!! Anyways, kudos on the track times...keep on bringin the numbers down....

Thanks for the porps and kudos guys.
I need to get me some lower gears (higher numerically) a posi and some better tires.
Great times bluecajun. How did you take off at the starting line. Did you brake-stalled your truck or did you just slam the gas pedal when the last amber light came on? I break-stalled my truck, but some friends told me not to do so on a stock converter.
Thanks again guys

On all my vehicles with stock converters I got the best time by stalling it up to the point the car/truck starts to try and nudge forward. That works as long as you can get traction of course.
