Default track times, headlight removal?

Went to the track twice this week. Best time was 16.1, worst was 16.5 There was an 04 duramax there lifted and running low 13s, he had removed the passenger side headlight. Does that make a difference, didn't think about it till after we left the track, so couldn't ask him. I would think it let more air to the intake, is it worth it? I'm trying to get into the high 15s, maybe removing the tailgate, headlight, emptying the toolbox?

well i tried it once and gained .05 of a second, had the same 60' time and 1/8 mile time and only like i said .05 gain in the 1/4 mile, but every truck is different so give it a try and yes take the weight out it will help you alot later, kevin
