Default track report

went to the local 1/8th mile track tonight. got lots of runs in but traction sucked. i started with a 75shot and 10psi and hooked ok but as i turned up the boost i lost tracktion. i tried a 50shot and got the same results. then i tried a diferent route. i went back to a 75shot but am turning it off sooner.

i was running the 75 shot from 2500-4300. i droped that to 3800, then 3500, then 3200, finialy 3000. i am now only spraying for 500rpm's. my boost started at 10psi and finialy got up to an honest 16psi. i am loging my boost now so i can see the average and not just the peek boost. best ET was a 7.13 @ 99.6 with a 1.72 60'. i need some tires bad.

i think with a set of drag radials i will be able to pull high 10's all day long.

That's still some awesome times! Can't wait to see some times after some better tires!

yeah, they dont fit worth a crap , the tire choices we have prety much suck.

i can go with 28" tall DR's for 16" wheels. thats prety short and the company that sells these 28" tall tires, M&H, doesn't really have the tire yet.

i can go with 28.7" nittor DR's for 18" wheels. still prety short and not sure if that would be enough grip.

i can go with 30" tall DR's and pick from many diferent brands and widths if i could get some 15" rims on there. problem is the only way to get a 15" rim on the back is to have a small backspacing and let the rim hang out from under the truck a little. that would look a little trashy i think. or swap over to drums in the rear. thats a posiablilty. would i need a diferent master cylinder and other parts too?

soo, no ideal path for grip. i had 29" tires on my last truck and they were too short, seems any way i go it will look funny.

yeah i do, it is kind of wierd. one kit wanted me to sign his tshirt

the truck does seem to run prety good. there were lots of serious race cars at the track that weren't much if any quicker. i have some prety good vid from that night but i am out of bandwidth for the month. got to wait a few days to post it.
