Default a totally f****ed up morning

i woke up late for work... on my way to work, i got side swiped by a dumbass kid in an infiniti... i was in the middle lane and he came over in front of me...hit me, then i hit a guy next to me... cop said it was my fault cuz i didnt have my turn signal on... even though i was already in the middle lane!

so now both sides are fucked!... its still driving fine and the frame wasnt hit. i hope insurance doesnt do anything extreme about this.. i was already dropped from one company... so much for lowering the truck this month.

Damn, that really sucks. How is it your fault that this douche hit you??

I hate waking up late because it puts you in a totally different group of traffic than your used to. Then I gotta get down and do some serious ing

Onyx
Couple of things - How could it be your fault ??
You were in the middle lane - did he come over into your lane ??
if so - did he take away your assured clear distance ??
basically did he cut you off ?? - if so your not at fault - fight that one - 2. how many at fault losses (accidents) have you had - if just the 2 - seriously doubt you would get dropped - here is the bright side - if both side of the front end of F'd - time for the Esclade frt end swap -

i was coming up in the left lane, saw that traffic was backed up, so i go over to the middle lane without using signal... the kid i guessed looked back to see if people were coming when i wasnt there.. then just came over... some ******* stopped and said he was a witness and said i was driving to fast... so the cop went by what that old ******* said... luckily its just the sides, but there is a hole in the rear driverside door from the ******* sideview mirror...

how fast is to fast and was it raining?, foggy?, dry?, clear?. talk to a lawyer he will probably get you out of the ticket. but i dont know with the witness and all. i'd fight it though, because it doesnt matter if you where doing 70, 80 ,90 miles an hour, if you where in the lane and had established yourself in that lane, regardless if your speeding,or didnt use a turn signal, if he comes over and hits you its his fault for failure to maintain a safe distance.
also if his mirror went thru your rear door wtf was he doing sleeping when he changed lanes, thats damn near half your truck past him?

sport - what I see on daily basis - are people poke their noses in when the shouldn't and "don't want to get involved" when it is serious or when they should - God help them if they get in a little hot water

I would def pursue the ACD issue - do not see where you are fault. - Keep up posted and find a good shop to re-skin that door.
