torque converter is cycling lock/unlock

My truck done the exact same thing, could not get it to stop. I put a 4.10 gear in it and it has not done it since! I dont know why but it changed it! I have since had a retune by another individual that seems much more knowledgable so he may have been able to cure it but the other guy couldnt get it to quit! Also drove me crazy......had to give it gas to make the converter lock......sucked bad!

Only thing I notice now is when I pull a long hill with say the cruise on, when I round the top, it unlocks for just an instance where you can feel the truck kinda burp. Other than that its all good.

thats weird you say that cuz with the exact same settings mine worked fine with 4.10s then i put 3.42s back in and it started doing that

well i got 4.10s again and it didnt change. we ended up uping the line pressure for the tranny in the force motor current table and it stays locked now.
