Default tires for the track..

I have a 06 cc vmax 4wd..currently have arh lts, tune, magnaflow, cai, and 4.10s..im running a 33x12.50x17 mt and yes i have traction problems..What would be a good size slick or drag radial that i can run at the track?? Will 15" wheels work with 14bolt sf with DRUM brakes?? I know 15" wheels wont work with disc brakes on these trucks..im sure someone is goin to say run in 4wd..ive read a lot of debate as to whether to leave it in 4wd for the whole run or switch back to 2wd after the launch..what are the chances of breaking something in 4wd? Will i run the same et in 4wd as i would in 2wd??

I run my truck in 4wd as do many others. You arent going to break anything. I actually ran my best times when i ran 4wd for the whole track instead of switching out.

Run it in 4wd.

15" rims will fit with drum brakes.

Take your pick on slicks.

I see you have a black bear tune. Do you have an Auto Cal?

When you change Tire Size it affects the shift points unless you adjust the tire size in your tune. With an Auto Cal you could load a different tune with the tire size already corrected.

My fastest passes were on 275/55R16 M&H Racemaster drag radials.

But I also raced it with 31.5" street tires, one set on 16's, and another set on heavy chrome 20's. But even in 4x4, it would spin on the launch with the street tires.
