Tire sizes?
#3
I've been thinking about getting some 285/75/16s. I heard that they look really good and still fit no problem but they are a good bit larger than the stock tires. I think I figured the speedo would be off just under 5mph at 60mph. I might go with a 265/75/16, speedo would only be off about 2mph at 60mph with those. I supose I could get a handheld unit to correct the speedo but I really didn't want to start modding my pick up yet.

I have BFG AT 285/75R 16's on the factory wheel with no problems at all. Actually, I think that my speedo is more accurate now than with the factory 265's! I really don't notice any howling noises on the highway either...I've been in my friends' trucks with Mud Terrains and man what a howl that one makes! If you click on the link under the picture in my sig you can see what the 285's look like. Factory wheels, factory height, no worries!
