Default Tire? Lowered stock 16s

It's time for new tires... How big/ wide can I go? Truck is 4/6 drop and stock aluminum 16 inch rims. I have a 245/70/16 on it now and I'd like a wider tire but don't want any clearance issues with the bed. I was thinking 255/65/16

Depending on the brand, you should be fine. I looked at a General Grabber tire and it suggested a rim width of 7-9". Stockers are probably 7" wide. A 9" wide wheel would give you almost a 10" contact patch providing that beefy/meaty look.

Yes the general grabber was the one I was planning on getting.
