Tips for pulling motor on RCSB

bought it new 5 miles on it did they change things?? i was happy that is for sure

I cut out a thin piece of plywood to put on the radiator to protect it
worked great
I didnt use a leveler
didnt want to have to pick it up so high
oh and label everything write it down do whatever it takes
you'll be glad you did

you know you don't have to take the hood off, put it in the "service position". unbolt the bolt that hold the spring to the mount on the hood and pic up the hood and put the bolts through the hole at the bottom of the braket and bolt the springs to that. found that in my 04 gm service manual save alot of time.

That's what I did. I think thats how my antenna got removed too.

Yes, the older ones were an 8mm or so allen head. I rounded out 2 of them during my TC swap. Torx got one, then I spent a few hours in there with a dremmel on the last one.

I can see why yall left the radiators in though. I pulled my motor and trans at the same time. Wanted to do the motor, tranny and stall at the same time. Had to put her at a hell of an angle but it all came out pretty easy.

question...Where are most of u attaching ur chains to, i thought u were supposed to use the heads? Another question what kind of bolts do i need to get, grade 8? 5?..aren't they metric, i don't have any of those laying around?
