Thumbs up Thunder Shootout

Just got back from Thunder Shootout. It was a blast. A few new times with the trucks. My new best is a 14.98. We should have some videos up in a day or two. Also, pretty much everyone got beat out except Tntrk53. He had a good shot at winning.

btw, it was nice to meet you guys.

actually tntrk53 won i think. the black sinoma (sp) couldn't start i think so that dq'ed him. Which i do agree, that wasn't fair letting that guy with line locks and all the computer crap face us in a foot brake race. made me feel like i took a knife to a gun fight!

also, it was cool meeting all the LS1TECH mods and admin. Them guys were great.

oh yea, if you ever go to NPR, watch out for the tech signs. they do jump out in front of you while your driving!

Yea, I had a great time guys and was great finally meet you. The lead sled actually had a new best that I can't complain about. 15.15 @ 89.0 on motor. Not to shabby for a ext cab 4.8!

Next time, we need more beer!!!!!

JGot home at 1:00 this morning,no problem.I love that race track.
I beat 2000_silverado_SS by about 3" in a great final 15.022 -15.07
he tree'd me a little.
Meeting you guys in its self was worth the trip.A new best ET of 14.87 on motor was nice too, Cool dry air at sea level and weight reduction,I haven't posted new times on the fast truck list because I can't remember the password to remove the old one.
I would have liked to see a much bigger truck turn-out, Thunder lost money on Truck Eliminator, they paid full money for the win and didn't have a full field.
I think everyone there had a good time. BigKid gets my vote for a"Mr. Goodwrench" award, busting a posi unit sat. night and up and running by first time trial sun.
I hope everybody made it home safely Jim

Congratulations Jim on the win! I wish I could have been in the finals with ya. Do I get a plaque and some money for this "Mr. Goodwrench" award?
