Thoughts on purchasing a higher mileage truck?
So I'm back in the market for another winter beater (shouldn't have sold my last one). Was just looking at autotrader, and came across a truck that has a clean record, and looks like it was well taken care of. Only problem is its a 2001 with 226,000 miles.
Here is a link to it:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
Is it even worth taking a look at for it being a secondary / winter truck, or just keep on looking?
Thanks

according to carfax it says 2 owners, but looking at the history its really only 1 owner from PA (not sure where). The truck is now for sale at a use dealer lot, and was purchased at auction.

as long as you dont see anything concerning, parts for these trucks arent too exspensive
these trucks can take a lot of abuse, i wouldnt hesitate to get a high milage truck

Good work! Mine is a '00 1/2ton with 195,000 and it runs like a dream. As long as it has had good maintence and has been taken care of shouldn't have any problems.
