Default for those with aftermarket rims?

Any of you notice if the truck rides harsh with aftermarket rims and tires. Im thinking about putting the stock ones back on the truck. Right now I have centerline 18*9.5 with 295/45-18 nitto 555's on them. It rode a whole lot better with the stock rims and 2/4 drop (edelbrock shocks) than it does with these.

Price you pay for performance. Mine does ride a little rougher with the rims and tires, but still very compliant compared to my stock rims!

It is the shorter side walls! The side walls act like shocks.

I experience the same thing. Mine rides a little rougher now with the rims and tires.

Mine rides a little rougher with the 285/50/20's, but it fully worth it for the gain i get in handling, braking, and acceleration. I hated going around every corner squeeling the tires at low speeds with the stockers. I wouldnt trade back to stock.

I know you guys are talking about lowered trucks with bigger rims but my truck rides smooth as glass over just about everything. It's surprising to go down a dirt road and have the ride as smooth as the pavement!

Mine rides a little rough too. but i don't know if it's the rims and tires or the backyard drop.

Nice truck, XXX

My truck doesn't ride all THAT much more harsh than my old Avalanche. The truck definitely jumps around a lot more out back, but figured it was a weight thing.

Av was on 265/70/17 on/off tires, slightly more "street" than BFG A/T's.

SS is on... uhhh... 20's. That's all I know.
