I have read that too. The killer with large diameter wheels is that they may weigh the exact same as a 16" wheel, but the majority of the weight is farther out from the center of rotation.... Since the majority of the weight on a wheel is typical the actual outer ring (not the center or spokes) the farther out from the center of rotation that weight is the more the weight is multipled... Just my .02...

You could always throw mine on your truck and take it for a spin to see if it makes any difference.... Just no major burnouts cause the tires are new...

They'll make a difference. My stock 17x7.5 aluminum wheels with 235/55 17 weigh 51 lbs and my centerline 20x8.5 with 255/35 20 nittos weigh 68 lbs. There's about .3-.4 sec difference in the quarter mile times.

Those are the wheels i have on my 06' currently......havent weighed them but id say about 50lbs.......i had 20's on my truck recently and then swapped back with my bro cause they felt so damn heavy lol......i picked a 1 mpg going back to my stockers and my truck felt a hell of lot more peppier!
