Talking Thanks Oxidizr **update**(Dyno sheet inside)

I must thank Richard aka Oxidizr for the Magnaflow cat-back exhaust that was installed on my truck. The sound took a little getting used to, but it's a nice change over the obnoxious sounding 50-series Flowmaster I had.

When you get on it, it sounds loud and mean, but when you're cruising at low speeds(under 50), it's a pretty chill sound, no drone at all.
I drove to Vegas for SEMA and like I said, it's not loud unless you get on it.
However, with my 4.10s I turn 2k RPMs at 60MPH, and that's the only spot where it was really loud and unbearable in the cab....either below or above that MPH its not bad...for some reason at that point it was annoying.

Richard, is it possible for you to post the pictures you took when it was on the lift?
I also have a dyno sheet I will post up, I just have to scan it in first.
Thanks again Richard

Mayn, us non CA guys get no love with "Test" parts! Maybe that resonation will go away with some miles.

Oxidizr...How about you give a few away as a promotion to people in the US. It may be a tax right off...

sweet chinny....i love how magnaflows sound, a good friend of mine has a magnaflow cat back on his 98 ss heads/cam car with longtubes ory and that catback and it's one of the best sounding cars i've ever heard. makes me want a set of magnaflows on my setup instead of the bullets.

Here's the dyno sheet...

While we didn't dyno it before the Magnaflow, there is still some interesting info here.
Run #1(blue line) - with Magnaflow, HPP3 and K&N 247.6RWHP/274.6RWTQ

Run #2(red line) - You know how you guys remove the passenger side headlamp at the track? Well, if you look in there, there's a little flap that's hooked up with a clip. Richard unclipped and pulled it down so that more air comes in through the grille.
248.9 RWHP/268.0 RWTQ
Yes, it added 1.3RWHP, but it dropped 6.6RWTQ. Hmmm....

Run #3 (Green line) - This was just for fun. We left the hood open to show how much the hood, etc. restricts cold air intake...
256.6RWHP/275.5RWTQ
I think I will be making a custom "ram air" hood for my truck in the near future.

Glad to hear you like it .. and yes the 60 mph drone should not normally happen but it is an attenuation issue with load and rpm. 4.10's accentuate this harmonic.

As a side note ... DONT read the peak or MAX numbers on a dyno sheet as you will see this number includes this spike at the begining giving a you a false reading ...if you look at the curve both HP and TQ you will see a gain in all rpms with this quick mod. I have validated all my mods on my truck and aside from parasitic loss from converter and gears all my mods I have or recommend will make power more power.
