Default Taking out the leaf spring blocks (4wd)

i am planing on taking the blocks off my truck. i was wondering if anyone had an any suggestions on what the best way to do it. i am a little scared about getting the alxe out of align, (if that is posible). i just want to make it a quick process with no problems. where shoule i jack the truck up from. and should i block the tires so my axle cant move? just looking for some suggestions on how to do it. thanks

jack up the truck from the diferential, put stands under the front leaf spring mounts or frame in that area, let the jack down, make sure the tires are off the ground 2" or more, take off all the u bolts, lift the rear with the jack, pull out the block, drop the rear back down onto the springs, put in the shorter u bolts. there is a pin to keep things alligned, you will see it.

you can use u bolts from a 2wd truck.
