Default tailgate handle relocating kit?

anyone made their own? if so could you please post some pics?

guys who used a kit could you also post pics?? also what brand kit did you use?

I had the body shop do it after I rolled my truck. I'm not sure what kit they used but it works great.

You need to tack it in various places, constantly cooling it with water, tacking it untill it is all filled in. Never a solid run on sheet metal.. Also a little tip to fill in all them holes along the upper edge from the top cover. Use sheet rock nails. They fit the holes about perfect.. You weld them in there, then grind the shanks off. Makes life simple. My dad told me that, he used that trick for the past 50 years. Ok no more secrets

I made one but I have since taking it out. I just used a stainless plate, drilled a hole in the center, used a stainless rod to go through it, welded a stainless rod to the rod so it made a T, then added one to the back with revisions to hold the 2 clips. It worked flawlessly

Yeah i kept taking the opposite side of my last tack but just didnt walk away long enough after a couple tacks to let it fully cool down. my friend told me it would take all day, next time it will.
