Just like the title says. I was at a girls house and pop open the tailgate. 3 girls are sitting on it when all of a sudden "pop" go the cables. Checked the tailgate and didnt notice any damage done to it. Going to have to go by the dealership on Monday and complain. Anybody get their new cables??

 

I have had mine break also. The new cables aren't out...to my knowledge. I just got some current style cables and put some silocone on the top where the steel wires were exposed.....

the cables should be covered under a current manufactures recall for a defect in them. Check with your local stealership.

yea i hate that.....everytime im loading something in my truck the cables are always on my mind.

 

worst part about it is each girl is @ 115-120 pounds each.

 

how old are they 15? (not cumulative either...)
