Tahoe vs. Crew Cab Race Weight?
I am thinking about switching from my current 04' tahoe setup to a 03'-06' silverado cew cab, but don't want to go backwards by picking up extra weight. Both would be a 2WD and 5.3L. So my questions is, which one of these vehicles stripped down to your common race weight would be the lightest? What I mean by common race weight is the simple stuff like: no spare tire, roll pan, lighter wheels, etc. A stock to stock weight comparison is fine too. I need so input and/or real life results?

I can only assume the crew cab would end up lighter, but that's a guess considering they are very close loaded. Also, I assume this is not the XL, correct?
I honestly wonder if the weight distribution on the Tahoe wouldn't end up having an advantage in straight line performance though. Will be interesting to hear what someone has to say that has real experience doing this.
Speaking of which, anyone know how that new Tahoe with the 400hp engine runs? It was very tempting when I bought my truck. lol wifey liked it too, but I love pick ups too much these days.

i think it'll be real close..My silvy didnt feel any faster than the tahoe when it was stock..My silvy weighs 5600# with gas and me in it so i imagine the hoe is not far from that..
One thing the tahoe will aid with is traction cause there is more weight on the rear
Any track times???
