Default Tahoe owners step inside...

Hey Everybody-
I drive a 94 GMC Sierra RCSB that has been one of my favorite vehicles. Unfortunately my work puts me between two plants all the time, and the regular cab just isn't cutting it for my office on wheels. I am looking for something reliable and roomy but I don't want to lose the capacity to tow my Buick if I had to. I found a good deal on a 2001 Tahoe with a 5.3, all options except leather and sunroof, 107k miles. How do you all like your truck? Is there anything in particular I should be leary of? I know it'll get crappy MPG, but my truck does already so having space will more than make up for it. Is 10k a good deal on this truck? Thanks!

I love our Tahoe and really have no complaints. It gets pretty good gas mileage on the highway. If no head wind or hills I can set the cruise at 70 mph and get 21-23 mpg, but if it's hilly or windy 65 mph will get me around 20-21 or so. I really don't ever get on it it's more our family car. On average we see 18-20 from one fill up to the next. It has a mpg counter on it that we have never reset since we bought it new from the dealership and it's at 18.2 mph and we have 54,XXX miles on her now. Really not to bad.

Ours is an 04 not to sure if the older ones are any different. 10 thousand is a fair price for the 01.

Hope some of this helps.

Default Why don't you try to win one?

You wanna try to win one instead of buying one?

How about this one?

Hit up Stylinconcepts.com/wintahoe and enter to win it.

Hey, a free Tahoe is better than one that you have to pay for...

If I win, will you guys repaint it, remove the vents on the side, put some nice rims on it, and replace the hood?
Did you at least fire the guy who approved that paint job?

My Tahoe has not given me any problems that I didn't create. I'd say about 100K on the chasis. 3 motors and 5 transmissions have gone through that chasis

Default That's not paint...

That's not paint. That's a custom vehicle wrap from apewraps.com.

And why would you want to change it? This baby rules!

Default Rediculous!

You guys are rediculous! The wrap is what it is. It's supposed to be showy and stand out. This isn't a street cruiser that you just hang out with at the Wal-Mart parking lot, this is a flashy, showy SUV for a contest. And it's got a badass custom stereo system installed by those fools at Crutchfield. Ever heard of Crutchfield?

And if you win, I'll help you peel off the wrap myself.
