That's behind factory power levels, though. He is probably suggesting the 60e will have a hard time transferring the additional power. Dependability and longevity of the stock tranny will certainly be your biggest issue moving forward with a FI project. You will trash an otherwise fully-functioning transmission. Suggestions would be swapping in the 80e and storing the stocker as a backup, use on a dif't project, or I suppose selling it at some point. You noted this pickup is for weekend play days & road trips & the stock tranny is almost guaranteed to ruin your fun. Last thing I want is to be stranded an hour or 2 away from home.

4L60 is known for being the weak link.
I can recommend Magnuson- easy install, smooth, quiet, strong.
steady 10 pounds of instant boost, anytime you push the pedal.
crossing west texas, IAT were 20 over ambient.

I was looking for a Magnuson but they are no longer sold from the manufacture and very few web sites list it available, when I call they seem sketchy or no longer have one in stock. Gotta love when you call a company and a guy answers his cell phone and just says "hello".

So doing some digging I see I will have to buy a new transmission crossmember, a new torque converter, a set of transmission lines, a modified or swap harness, and a modified driveshaft with a larger yoke and crossover U-joint to get the 80 swapped in. This is getting way up there in cost for 150 hp with a $1800 to $2300 performance tranny alone. Will be looking into beefing up the 60 or leaving the truck as is.
