Default stupid remoted!!!!!!!!!

Hey I have key remote for my 06 Silverado so far. I been using remoted about over 3 yrs. Never had problem. So I always have key with remote in my pocket. I been working all day with tig welding. After that I went to get in my truck but didnt open door. I puzzled. I thougt it was battery died on remoted. So I went home and took another a spare key remoted and check it. It does work. So I use the spare one. About one week I been using. UNTIL today the remote didnt work!!!!!!!!!!!! I think things from TIG pulled the battery went bad. SO I decide to go to Walmart bought a ENERGIZER batterys. I put in two remoted. And it didnt work! I called the Chevrolet Dealership. They want to charge 46.02 dollars to reprogram on my remote. I was like wtf for simple thing. I decide to hung up not want to pay stupid high price for no reason to be reprogram. HOw can I figure how to do with my remote

Yes, taking the battery out of the remote makes it forget. You have to reprogram it for it to work again. That link above should get you all fixed up.

I don't think removing the battery will wipe it out. I've changed 3 of mine and never had to re-learn. Did anything change in your welding process? I have heard AC TIG will do some screwy stuff to radio signals.

That what I thought. Since I work at Lasertech metal welding TIG. I think it cause damage my remote battery been twice! I had the old remote for 3 yrs and happened last week was die. So I took other spare brand new remote that I never use. It work as well. Been use one week UNTIL today **** happen again same thing. I figured it out no wonder the TIG made caught. REMEMBER dont put your remote or cell phone in pocket. It will damage your things.
