Lost trying to figure out what is going on with my 04 Tahoe tailgate.

First issue was non working Wiper Motor. Still doesn't work, but power going to it. It just clicks all the time so I had to unplug for now. It's probably shot.. probably not related.

Now, no defroster. I have power going to defroster though. Can measure 12v on either side. (mine has 2 leads with the phone cord looking wires.)

No lights come on when I open the tailgate (interior lights normally go on when it opens). Lights don't turn on with the full hatch, or the glass opening.

The remote still unlocks the tailgate...

Any ideas... shoot em off it you got em...

 

Pull the rubber boot off the wiring harness and find the broken wires.
