Default struck by lightning

found a L tonight so I ran him down and he
decided to get on the expressway
long story short
70mph 3rd @3000 we gun it
I pull him at first ,I may have got a
little jump, then
he put a truck on me and thats it
I started to pull on him slowly to about
his rear bumper to about 110 115
then he lets off
this is the first time I opened it up after the cam
and man this thing pulls way hard up top!!!
not to mention the torque down low

I may have got killed but by a worthy opponent!!!

gotta do something about this

Nice ... a 70mph roll is not easy to do, especially with a torque monster blown engine. I say way to go for not getting left. Next time work on getting him down lower, that will take him for sure.

A torque converter should put you out in front agianst a stock Lightning. Again what cam did you choose?

Lightnings run much better from a stop than from a roll. our blowers get hotter and hotter. mine dead hooks on the street and the track. great run and thumbs up for the performance. i got much love for anything that pushes the performance.

mine is actually stock (down the the paper filter and tire pressure). but not for long. i have only owned it for 4 months now. ran 13.9@98 mph in some crappy heat (1.98 60'). going to do the normal chip, filter, and 6 lbs pulley (15 psi total) and break into the 12s solid. should be getting in my stuff in a matter of days in the mail. i have moded and helped out a bunch of my buddys in their Ls for years and i finally broke down and bought one for a daily driver myself.
