if you've been in to have this repaired before they will usually help you get it repaired with no to little cost to you....unless you weld it up

I had to take my 05 Silverado 5,540 mi in last week for noise in the dash, When the service guy came out to take my info, I told him I had a sound in my steering(did not)he said I know what that is, so when I pick it up I was looking at my ticket and it said installed a new design steering shaft, part #19153614, let me tell you, drives great, tight, and feels great, I just wanted to get the new steering shaft did not think it WAS so loose with just 5,000 miles
