Default "paint-to-match" = do it yourself?

this may be the dumbest question i have asked so far, but the "paint-to-match" accessories in the catalogs, are we talking DIY with Krlyon, or should i take my fender flares and bumper trim to Maaco?

WELL PAINT TO MATCH MEANS IT IS SMOOTH PLASTIC.... SO YOU CAN PRIME IT... AND DO IT YOURSELF.... BUT IF YOUR NOT VERY GOOD WITH PAINT... I WOULD LEAVE IT TO PROFESSIONALS
