Default state inspectors "inspection stickers"

if some rolls in with a truck that is V.I.N. as a gasser but has been converted to diesel, what has to be done to run the test or to get it inspected,to recieve a sticker?

I asked my manager once, when I did inspections.. he said we'd run it as a diesel.. but we have to put in engine size manually and run it as safety only inspection(like all diesels in TX).
