When it comes to things like this. My response is "ITS A WIRE"
It should unbolt and you can trace it up and replace it or just leave it and run a new one. Or go up a ways to a good spot and splice in so you only replace the bad spot.
As long as you can get a current between the 2 places its supposed to be touching, your good. I'd use a 10gaugee myself.

That's just how i look at it.

that's weird.
I looked up some pictures. Are you talking about the big wire that runs off the back of the solenoid and into the starter?
If so, are you able to take the back of the starter off? The pic i seen has 2 bolts holding the backside on. I'd take a look in there and see if you can replace it.

yeah its that wire it corroded and broke right at the loop that bolts it onto the solenoid, should be enough slack to cut of the corroded part and use the same wire

Well Succefully removed the starter and cut off the corroded peice of wire and soldered a new "o" connecter. While I had it in the vise I took the 14mm wrench to the nut holding the corroded off peice of wire onto the stuf and snapped the plastic stator cover so It looks like Im getting a rebuild

I would just buy a new starter off ebay but but it will take to long to get here and Im pretty sure a rebuild is cheaper, starter worked just like new before all of this.

well that sucks. Hopefully you can get up n running soon. Now all that money you save from payments gets blown on fixing it.
