Default start up problems

I Have A 99 Silverado That Gives Me A Weird Engine Start Up Only After The Truck Has Been Driven For A While. It Starts Up Like It Is Starving For Fuel Then Slowly Idles To Normal. I Have Changed Spark Plug And Wires About 30,000 Miles Ago And Fuel Filter At The First Of The Year. I've Used Fuel Injector Cleaners. Truck Has 145,000 Miles. Any Sugguestions

When it starts, does it idle more or less than normal? Check your air intake tube assemblyand maf connections for something being loose.

My bosses '99 would start hard alot. Turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator. Pretty easy to check too.

Very common, I had the same problem. Just pull the vacuum line off of the fp reg and check for the presence of fuel. If there's fuel in the line, or even a strong scent of fuel, then the reg is leaking and needs replacement. FP reg is located in the center of the driver's side fuel rail.

Sounds like just the start of it going out.
If not, try a can of Sea Foam. Have you cleaned your MAF meter? If not, use a non petroleum based cleaner. Just spray it out. Don't wipe it.
Hope you fix the problem.

My Z28 used to do the same thing - turned out the fuel pump was toast and couldn't put out more than 16 psi.

Yeah, there are many things it could be. A fuel pressure gauge would be a nice investment. It won't fix your problem, but may tell you where it may be.
