SS gauge cluster and trans temp gauge?

If I upgrade to an SS cluster will the trans temp gauge thats on it work in my truck?

i've been wondering this myself. is the factory gauge any good or am i better off going with an aftermarket one than switching the gauges?

the factory gauge isn't nearly as accurate as an aftermarket gauge, but it does give you an idea of what temps your trans is running at. Sometimes my gauge says 150, but according to HPTuners it's closer to 130s
