check this thread out, there was no mention of any chevy/gmc trucks on this thread about the SRT-10vs. Lightnings, bunch of b.s. but it is pretty amusing (if you read all 15 threads)

here is the link

Actually, there is good reason why none of the General's trucks were mentioned - GM doesn't have any production trucks in that class. Sad and unfortunate, but true. We definitely have the best looking trucks (IMO), but they are far from the fastest. GM has no Lightning or SRT-10 killer, and it's up in the air if they ever will...

I like both the SRT10 Ram and the Lightning. I can't wait till Ford releases the next generation Lightning, it should be pretty sweet. I wish GM would pump something out..

Yeah, but it's so much more fun to mod myself. Personally, I love riding up on factory modded truck and thinking to myself, "boy, what a real enthusiest". Plus, it kinda takes all of the sleeper factor in when you have guys like us on the board that know what factory performance modded trucks run. They have no idea what we run when we roll up on them.

I'm with you on the modding thing, but I don't know, I think I'd like to have a 500HP truck to start modding on, instead of a 300HP truck....

Good grief, like I said, " I like riding up on factory modded trucks..." meaning the factory trucks "where I live". I should have known any statement about a lightning would bring someone out that has one. You don't see the guys that drive them here. Definately not enthusiasts, trust me. Always feel like I have to walk on eggshells on this "gm" based forum. Good grief.

one stereotypical statement deserved another. i def dont walk on any egg shells bro. i enjoy both platforms.

anyways to further inquire into your analysis. is it lame that guys on this site buy these ls1/ls6 motored cars instead of buying lower performance from teh factory cars? z06 guys are not enthusiasts at all then! lol. those mustang GT guys must be hella hardcore! w00t

I guess you have never met a Z06 owner that wasn't an enthusiast, right? I know the old man down the road from my house is definately an enthusiast. I talked to him one day and I found out that I know more about his car than he does. I guess we've veered off the trucks as the topic of discussion here.... And yes, GT owners are bad as hell.

Wow those guys are definately opinionated. I like pretty much anything that people mod. Ive always liked lightnings and the SRT-10's are awesome. I just dont like people that act like hard asses in reference to their vehicles. Im going to be real tempted if the new Lightnings actually show up with what they have been promising.
