Weather was around high 50's or low 60's and around -200(not positive but that should be close)

Time slip is coming sometime tonight.

Never weighed the truck. Was going to the day of the race but they didn't have the scales open.

There is alot of factors that come into play with dynoing a vehicle:

-Was his convertor locked?(mine was not)
-What rear tires did he dyno with?(I was on 17" Boyds with 275/50/17's-VERY HEAVY-weight of tires and rims rob's horsepower)
-He was dynoing with 3.42's,I was dynoing with 3.73's(bigger gears rob horsepower)
-I never dynoed my truck with the cut-out(I know I picked up some HP with it)

If everybody want's to meet up one night lets go.Give me about a two week notice and I'm there(due to work schedule)I would suggest a Wed. night at State Capitol there is like nobody there so you can run as many passes as you want. They do shut it down around 9:15 though.

Well, here's my $0.02...

There's a big difference in times if you prepare your vehicle for the race-- things like tire pressures, weight redux, short belts, etc. I don't do any of these things, and I think that I could easily get a few more tenths out of the truck if I did.

There are waaaaay too many variables not related to horsepower that can account for a difference in ET. Traction is the biggest difference that I can see between the two trucks in question. I've always been told that a good "rule of thumb" is that for every tenth you take off in the short time, you'll gain two tenths on the big end. Going on that, a 1.7 short time would net Red53gmc a 13.67.

Is it hard to beleive that a bolt on truck is running deep into the 13's? Yes.

Is it impossbible for it to happen? No.

I don't post here often cause my fullsize is not an ls1. I do post on fullsize chevy .com. I know Jeremy "LOTSOFN" well enough to tell you that he or no one else has ever been inside his motor. If you use dyno #'s to determine how fast your truck or car will run than you may be supprised as in this case. Dyno #'s are for baseline tuning not 1/4 mile et. guessing. On a heavy truck you must get the load moving quick and hard to et. Simple as that!!! Low 60' time. My 92 fullsize weighs 4000 lbs. and my little 355 ci. gets me down the track at 12.55 @ 107 mph. with a 1.7 60'. Of course this is a Futral motorsports built engine. Face it dude, some guys spend lots of money and still go slow and some guys spend less money on the right parts at the right place and go fast. So thats at least 3 trucks from FMS. that kick butt. BTW. I hope to run low 11's very soon with the addition of my new procharger, thanks to Allan at Futral Motorsports.
