Someone broke out my window today :(

It happened on Base. I came out to the truck and the drivers side xtra-cab window was busted out
I managed to pull the window after I taped both sides solid with masking tape. I think it was the dude that was weed wacking the grass/dirt and he kicked up a rock and shattered it. I have no idea what this is going to cost to replace but I'm sure it aint cheap. I did file a Base Report so we will see what happens.
Anyway, I need to get out in the garage and take the door apart and assess the damage.
I'll need some GM part #'s if anyone can help, I may need some rubber seals(not sure yet) but I for sure will need a drivers side xtra-cab window if anyone has that part number handy. thanks
oh yeah,.............****!

thanks bro.
Looks like I'll need 3 or 4 things, a graphite frame that seals to the door, a rubber gasket that plugs into the frame, and a new window, oh and maybe some of that adhesive/silicone they use.

The last time I replace one of my extended cab windows, I think the window cost $175 from dealer plus $50 to install it. All I got to say at least yours was an accident, my dad lock my keys in my truck and he thought he could pry open one of those windows far enought to get a piece of wire down to the center, where the keys where. Lets just say the window shattered into thousands of piece.

The base is going to tell you to turn it in to your auto insurance first. If they won't cover it then the base will pay, usually. But this isn't going to even meet your deductible so it may not work out well for you. I remember when Uncle Sam paid for it regardless of how minor and you didn't have to use your own Ins company. Maybe your claims office will be cool about it. Save your receipts. Good luck!

That sucks man. Well I guess you should have just let the guy grill his lunch on your "georfe forman grill" and he wouldnt have had to do that
Sorry man I had too. That sucks. Did anything get stolen. Some crackhead broke into my tahoe one night while i was at school and all he took was the change in the ashtray. Not the ipod nano, backpack, cds, or the cloths or sneekers. Nope just the change. bastard
