really...Dont take this as an insult because that is not my intention, but I expected a little more from it. My truck is putting out roughly 345rwhp/360rwtq N/A right now and last time at the track it put down 8.75 @ 80mph in the 1/8th on street tires...and I only have bolt ons and a very mild 6.1 cam.

Do you know of any 6.0 guys that are running mid 12's and lower?? I would like to see what mods they have done so that I can start making a parts list for the new motor.

If this combo was in a SWB 2x4 it would be in the low 13s easy, the 4x4 really effects it.A hemi QC 4x4 with all the **** might be high 14s.

Have you seen the fastest truck list as I had mentioned?

Sorry...I wasnt trying to compare your track times to a QC hemi, I was just talking about the dyno numbers...All I have done to mine is bolt ons and a mild cam and I am only 15hp below you...I would have expected much more after doing a motor swap and all the other mods you have listed.

But on the other hand, I only know of 1 quad cab hemi to run 13's on motor (13.92), and he has all the bolt-ons, heads, and cam...and was running on drag radials. Your 14.1 is very impressive for a 4wd QC. Nice work!!

Keep in mind the HP and Ets are only estimates.

I would run that guy from Arkansas or the guy in Dallas on motor to their spray blah blah blah. I think its funny that one guy calls out tan then wants to be given lengths or run his spray to an N/A motor what a tool. What is the deal with the weight issue? Run what you brung and hope you brung enough. NOt our fault our trucks are ligther. I would post over there but my IP is banned from the site I do believe.

Not **** the guy crawfished,I asked if weight is an issue then you are admitting you are disadvantaged with a dodge right?Remember in 03 when road and track did an artical on the RCSB ran VS the SS,the SS beat it by a tick and had 500 more LBS.Of course no one would say anything about that.

I should point out I did this swap several years ago and I did it on a budget,I had maybe $300 in the heads and $200 for the used cam,had i bought premium heads and a better cam along with 1-3/4 diam headers I could be producing alot more.I have always had a mail order tune.It does dam well for what it is.You said your ball parking your HP? Have you had it on a dyno NA?

I was making 307rwhp/351rwtq with just the intake, headers, cutout, and superchips. Since then, I added the 6.1 cam and e-fan, which together have been producing about a 35-40rwhp gain. When I did put it on a dyno after the cam install, my timing was off and it only made 317rwhp...when I fixed the timing, my 1/8th ET dropped .6 in the 1/8th, so that just shows how much I gained from getting the timing set right. So yes, 345rwhp/360rwtq is just an estimate for me, but it is right online with all the other hemi guys that have done the exact same mods as I have.

1slow01z71...I am going to be emailing you as soon as I get the chevy because you guys have convinced me to do the 6.0 swap right away...so I wanted to ask you some questions about it and about getting it all put together and tuned. I am getting more excited about this every day, so I cant wait.

and BTW...The guy from arkansas and dallas are 2 of my close friends...the one in Arkansas only started posting on that thread to get me to bite since I am switching over to be a chevy guy...he didnt mean anything he said, and now he is only posting to get the chevy guys riled up...you have to understand his sence of humor. As for the dallas guy, he truly thinks he can run with anything you guys bring him. He is a very close friend of mine though, so I am not going to take anyones side in his case, but I would love to see the race...and let the fastest truck win...BTW, he is crazy enough to spray a 200 shot if he runs any of you guys so be ready...haha

What are you going to do for a 6.0? new?I have found new take-out LQ9s for $2800,I dont know if any are availible, best would be to buy a new LQ9 shortblock and put a set of quality ported heads and cam in.

That is my plan, but I dont know if I want the LQ4 or the LQ9...I dont know if I want to add boost or possible nitropus later on, and if I do, I would have to get the LQ4 because of the lower compression right?? I still have to do alot of research, which is why I am here posting with you guys...this is the best place to learn, and there have been many helpful guys so far. I will take all the info I can get.
