gonzo - thanks for the recognization bro!
this is true and the 5.3's are winning. with the right driver and conditions, these truck are capable of mustering 15.00's in the 1/4mi. also some even down to the high 14's.

When I had my 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab with the 5.3 in it, mostly stock with just a knock-off AirAid Intake and a magnaflow single in/dual out muffler on it, I got into a streetrace with a Quad Cab Hemi Ram. Did I get the win, Yes, was it by much, no. I just barely squeaked by with the win on him. I was able to pull on him up top a bit, but this was running on the stock 3.42's at the time. Had I not had the intake and exhaust, it probably would have gone the other way.
I do agree though, I really like the way the Rams look, if they got better gas mileage, I'd be driving one now.

No .Another thing about the hemi head(not you) they so easily buy into the hype.Remember the first hemi commercials when they show the 4x4 w/20s light them up?Or when they were doing burn out on concrete and spelling out words,or when they were jumping the trucks? hemi heads believe it could be done. The latest that gets me is the dodge "caliper" on TV they make it sound like a V8,bone heads buy into it.

This truck I still own,its on consignment with a buddy.I would speculate it is making 360RWHP,have not been to the track but from racing other that have it should be 14.1-14.0s.the route i took was mild not wild.Small stall (I towed the **** out of it)small cam,the engine swap has been flawless for 50K miles and gets 14-18MPG.My 06 has a radix waiting
