Default Small Problem

I have an 01 GMC Sierra Ext cab and It recently froze here in Texas . I went down to turn on my truck this morning on the passenger side (unfrozen side side I thought) and accidently hit the power window button down. The window made a pop, and now my window will not go down. My guess that it popped off the tracks. If I use my hands, I can maually push up and down the window to whatever height the window track is on . If this has happened to anyone or anyone knows exactly whats wrong I would appreciate the input.

I think that the regulator is cable operated and what you heard was the cable breaking. I hate to say it but those darn things are expensive (Around$150-200 New). I guess the next thing is to pull the door panel.

Bowtie is right. The window did not pop out of the tracks if you can manually move it up and down. The window regulator is probably what broke. Check on Ebay under Silverado for a regulator. There are usually a bunch of them listed for sale. It seems like at least one per page when you do a search. I don't think it will cost you all that much either.

Those window regulators are a common problem. I have done a lot of them and there are simple to replace.
