Default Slow truck

I am trying to figure out why my truck is so damn slow.....

2000 silverado, rcsb, 2wd, 5.3, 60e, 3.73 gears, Detroit trutrac, elec fans, fresh 862 heads shaved 30 with 2" intake valves, z06 springs, stock thickness gaskets, bb tune, airraid jr, vette servo, speed engineering 1 3/4" long tubes and y pipe.

truck felt good and drove fine until I added the headers and y pipe. I sent the ecu back to blackbear for updates and it still seems much slower than before headers.

I have no codes or exhaust leaks and the egr and secondary air are disabled in the tune. I have watched what i can with the torque app and everything seems to be where it should be. The only thing that seems maybe a tick off is that when I watch timing at cruise it is usually mid 30's, but dips to 20 every minute or so for a second or 2.

anyhow, anyone got any idea if I am missing some part of this equation as to why this thing is slow?

As good as Justin and the folks at BB are, you're going to need a live tune to dial the details in with the exhaust change IMHO.

I had timing pull like that cruising in my old 2002 - it was a faulty knock sensor...

I do feel that an in person tune would help, a lot. Unfortunately he won't be in my area anytime soon. I don't know of anyone local to do it but either way it will need to wait until after the cam swap.

as for the knock sensors, I replaced both sensors and harness under a year ago and I don't log any knock retard. Can it pull that much timing without affecting the knock retard PID?

Could it be a faulty crank position sensor?

Could the injectors be maxed out?

3.73 gears will make a slug out of a small, NA motor.
Try some 4.56 rears, should help : 20% more torque in every gear.

With those mods, I see no mention of a cam. If that's the case, you probally lost some of the low end torque when adding the headers.

No cam yet, wanted to be sure I am not having any issues before I did a cam. I am looking at the btr truck stag 2 low lift.

as for gears, I may go 4.11 at some point but the 3.73 felt fine before the headers
