Awesome, I love the smell of burnt rubber in the morning (or afternoon, or evening)....I was just thinking about line lock yesterday after I did a smokey brake stand to impress one of my co-workers lol. $50 is alot cheaper than rear brake pads, so that's definitely a cost effective mod Plus it's always nice to have another switch on the dash or console

FWIW, my factory G80 laid two perfectly even, dark strips (Although I'm really wantin' a tru-trac someday)

Was the lock applied the entire time, basically over powering the front brakes or did you release it after a some time?

with abs i believe you put it on the rears backwards, press it then hit the brakes to stop fluid instead of holdin it

Line lock on newer trucks pretty much works the same. The abs doesn't have much issue with it, when the brake pedal isn't applied it doesn't even know they brakes are locked.

It is a BIONDO RACING line lock. It has a rebuildable solenoid and is now on sale for 39.99+tax & shipping from 49.99. I mounted in backwards on the rear brake line right where it becomes soft line above the axle. I spent $4 in fittings from the auto store. Brake lines are 1/4 but the line lock is 1/8 npt. It is suppose to be mounted on the front brakes and lock them until you hit the switch off, but I did it on the rear backwards. This stops all pressure from going to the rear brakes so you can still control the front brakes. Switch is a painless performance amber LED switch that is hidden in the back of the compartment where the electric transfercase selector is( I have 2wd). Easy to install, you just have to bleed your brakes. So far the ABS in uneffected.

here is the line lock- http://www.biondoracing.com/RacerEssentials.shtml go 3/4 down the page.
