Silverado 03-07(classic) hoods and taillights questions

on top of owning an 05 duramax that came with the taller hood, i also worked at a chevy dealer when the 03s, 04s, and 05s were new.
and back when i looked into buying a tahoe, it disappointed me to dig up where folks had tried putting the pickup taillights on them & they didn't fit.

All 03-07 models had the same hood and grille combo for HD and non HD. The difference is in the years, 03-05 had no bump hood and a different grille to match. 06-07 had a bumped hood and different grille. The hood matches the grille so if you have an 06 hood but 04 grille it will not line up properly and look goofy.
This is oem hood 2500hd but grille doesn’t match what grille do I need this grill is for a 2500hd but the gap is my issue
