ok got the gauges and hooked them up but i have a sight problem, i know i need to have it reprogrammed but the batterry light is on and with the stock in it isnt on. will that be reset when its reprogrammed

Don't know about the battery light, but I believe you have to find someone with a Tech II unit to reprogram it. In other words you probably need to find someone at a dealership to hook you up with the programing.

Looks like you got a good deal.

Actually I don't think that the TechII is capable of reprogramming mileage, pretty sure that most dealerships sublet that to outside electronics shops. I went to a local joint and had mine done.

As for the battery light, maybe something is shorted in cluster? I know from reading posts here that the 03's were notorious for cluster problems. Or, could there be a compatability issue? Does the SS have a 145amp alt or something...if that makes a difference? Either way, the place that reprograms the mileage may also be able to fix the battery light.

heck as much as im under the hood they can just turn it off...lol ill just watch my gauges like i do!!!!!! all the wires looked the same in both harness plugs, they left the plug in it and just cut the wires and i looked at all the wires. OHHH yea it also just came up with a SERVICE BRAKE BOOSTER, what it reads vacumn in it or something my stock one never said that

It probably needs the programing updated in it.

i hooked it up and running it to make sure its gonna work right then i gotta take it out bc ITS GOTTA GO UNDER THE CHRISTMAS TREE is what the first lady told me. but when it goes back in it'll have em in it
