Default short box bed conversion

Has anyone put a short box bed off a crew cab on a standard cab frame? I know the frame would have to be cut but just wondering where the cut or cuts would need to be made. Thanks

You are trying to make a regular cab with a 5.6' (?) bed?!

I looked into it and the cut has to be made in front of the rear axle. From the axle back is the same length for both frames

Seems he wants a super shorty. I’ve seen a few dedicated drag trucks built like that.

It's hard to find a good standard fleetside bed around. I found a shorty at the local junk yard thats in good shape. I've cut down lwb c10's before but haven't seen anything on this yet.

There is a super shorty on Duramax Diesels that just broke the stock block record. Check it out.

I know I've seen at least a couple ask about it on here in the past, not sure if they got it done. Doing it because you can't find a standard bed seems ridiculous. If you want to do it, then cool, but if that's you're only a reason...
