How much do you drive? 2 years of driving for me would be 80K and thats about how often I replace shocks on my DD.

Bilstein quality has gone down the ******* in my opinion.

With heavier aftermarket wheels & tires, my truck would eat shocks every 10K miles. I tried several brands to no avail, until somebody suggested KYB Monomax. The Bilsteins are not very good these days.

i've been thinking the same ... latley ... this guy in my drafting Class suggested i buy them a year ago the ride was better i was told the tires were causing the rough ride " BF AT's ' so i switched to well i can think of the dang name of them now but the ride got better,,, now not so better and its been 3 or 4 months since i bought the tires ....idk....

how are those monomax's? i've installed them in several of my customers vehicles but a quick test drive in an unfamiliar vehicle is not a good way to tell how a product is so i've been wondering how they are for our trucks and if they're worth what they want for them...

to the OP, in what way has your ride quality worsened? harsher over bumps? more of wallowing/springy ride? more of a loose feel? shaking/vibrating? does speed matter? is it noisier than before over bumps? could be more than just shocks or something entirely separate from shocks or a combination...my 2 cents

I've recommended (and installed) several sets of the Monomax. I've always had good luck with them, and haven't had any complaints.

Where are you in AK? I'd be happy to offer you a demo ride in my ol clunker.
