Default Shocks

Hey all I have a 99 extcab 5.3 short bed Silverado 4x4 with airbag helpers on the rear. I do not tow ofter, once or twice a year, I do mainly street driving and highway. I am looking for a good shock. I am looking for more of a performance shock for street use. Something more stiff then your standard Monroe. I am familiar with KYB and have used them and was happy but I am looking to see if there is something better for street use.

Thanks

Bilstein 5100 handling is excellent, they're stiff in a good way as truck feels more planted and stable. Fox offers a line of shocks for stock trucks too, I'm tempted to give them a try as they can be revalved to your specific needs and are rebuildable.

Monroe and performance just don't go in the same sentence.

AS a stock replacement shock, for a stock suspension they work great, and have a lifetime warranty. Bilsteins are great, I have had them on both my lifted crew cabs, really depends on how much $$ you want to spoend
