You gave it to me. LOL its in my garage and Ive been contemplating cutting a hole in it but still trying to decide exactly how.

I think after I get some rims/tires I like and after I get a 4 wheeler I can deal with I wanna try some electric fans. if your still interested in doing that for me.

and thanks for reminding me about my hitch... didnt even think about that.

I backed into a tree pretty good a few weeks back so my hitch is bent down a little bit so hopefully I can get it off and put back on without messing anything up.

One thing about this truck Ive noticed is that it will not break the tires loose from a dead stop straight forward on dry ground unless Im really trying, so unless the track isa lot slicker than normal concrete I dont think traction will be a problem. So I think Im gonna pull the tailgate and bumper and throw the tag on somewhere.

I just hope my 4L60E with 113K miles continues to hold up.
I'm spraying out of the hole on DR's and my stock 99k 4l60 is still holding up. I've never even changed the fluid/filter. I've been very lucky. You shouldn't have a problem on a stock truck but you never know?

wow you are lucky. most 4L60E's die from towing but Im sure racing isnt good on them either. that reminds me I should probably get my filter changed on it. anything to prolong its life because I figured it would be done by now. but hey im happy for now.

I got a spare sitting in the garage, I'm usually not to hard on my truck but it does see it's share of spirited driving. I have never towed anything with it either, it's dropped 4/6 not exactly up to it. I also have a new filter, vette servo, hd2 shift kit and tq waiting to go in but gotta get a retune and Wheatley didn't get back to me when I tryed to contact him awhile back so for now I've just forgot about it and parts collecting dust. Hell I hardly even get on here anymore.

Removing the EGR won't help you performance-wise really, it will reduce some carbon build up in your intake and induction system though. EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) is an emission device that reduces NOx emissions by recirculating exhaust gasses back into the intake of the engine. Higher NOx emissions are caused by higher cylinder/combustion temperatures. Believe it or not, introducing the exhaust gasses into the combustion chamber actually lowers cylinder temps since the exhaust gasses are cooler than the temperatures in the cylinders/combustion chambers. Some vehicles that are equipped with EGR experience problems when the EGR is non-functional...usually higher cylinder temps that lead to detonation. If the engine is properly tuned, not overheating, and the cylinders are free of excess carbon, EGR can sometimes be deleted without problem.

When I swapped out my 99 PCM for an 02 PCM, I no longer had EGR as the 02 did not come equipped with it. I removed the EGR solenoid and pipe, and plugged the holes for asthetics. I have not experienced any problems with pinging (knock on wood). (when the EGR valve got stuck closed on my 85 MonteSS, the engine started pinging like crazy until I put a new valve in and cleaned the EGR passages...different engine, different moster though...)
