Default Self Control?

I have to say today I really noticed that I got the lead left foot syndrome, and I was wondering how you guys get over the temptation of not ramming on the gas every chance you get? My gas mileage is suffering, my rear tires are startin to really show the wear. What do you guys do? shove a brick under the gas so it can only go down so far lol ? or a hard spring? no really how do you guys do it? Thanks alot

Zach

I try and save it for the track but sometimes I just stomp on it anyway. Driving in city traffic usually takes care of any urges.

Just start running premium and carry some kleenx with you when you fill up next time... cause you might need it when you see the bill...

hahaha... just put a shock collar on and if you go over 30%throttle it will shock you....

i cant help it either. on certain roads i just have to set the cruise and not touch the pedal because of heavy patrols. but when i get on the back roads, its on like donkey kong with WOT runs well into 3rd gear i have a feeling my trans and rear end wont last much longer (160k on stock parts and fluid)

i have no consistencey in gas mileage at all. on the same route, filling up at the same time every week, i can have 1/4-3/8 of a tank left at the end of one week and be runnin on E 3/4 of the way through the week next time.

no mufflers doesnt help me go unnoticed either lol

its weird for me somedays i feel like driving fast and some days i set the cruise control and go the speed limit. the difference in mpg is pretty big though. and this is all in the 02 ss camaro.

i think it depends on how much time i have to get to work though. im always in a hurry to get home after work to sit on my coolo.

I drive in bumper to bumper traffic quite often unfortunately But when the urge strikes to hit the go pedal, I can't hold back...that usually happens on a daily basis...at some point there's a break in traffic

I've noticed that when I have something in the cup holder that I don't want spilling, or a case of beer on the floor that I don't want shaken up, I drive slower. Try driving around with an open cup of coffee on ya, that might help
