Add a resonator to your exhaust before you go down in gear!

GMC93, i dont have that truck any more, i hated that 4.10 gear gas mileage was crappy truck was weak on the top end after 80mph felt like it just ran out of power vibration from that drone was horrible! i do a lot of hwy driving and truck was always between 2700 and 3000 rpms felt like i was shortening the life of the engine every time i was on the interstate

unless running a tall tire or 6+ speed auto trans i'll never do a 4.10 again in a daily

I have an 80E, 4.11s, and 31" tall tires - don't mind it a bit. At times, I kind of wish that I had put a little more gear in it.

Different strokes for different folks. I really like my setup and would recommend it.

Same here.... my 2005 started life as 3.73 geared truck..... what a dog with the 80E lol. 4.10 woke it right up and I still just have 245/75/16 tires on it. It is louder now with the magnaflow but I kind of like how it sounds... plus the speed limits here I don't go much over 70 mph anyway. To me tire size and how you drive is key..... so if you spend most time at like 80 mph on a shorter tire..... well 4.10 might not be for you.

I have a 285/60/18 tire = about 31.5 inches and I run 4.56s. Rural driving where I live runs around 2200 at 60.
