security light problem
#1
It a 2002 Tahoe. I posted on here we had some work done on the passlock and ignition system with the security system. It worked fine for a couple months but the other day the security light came on. But it never did anything the car started back up and everything was fine. Then yesterday we are driving home from ohio and the security light comes on. We get home turn the car off and tried to start it and it started fine twice. Went inside for an hour and came back out to go to the store and the car won't start. Its doing the same thing again security light flashing and when you try to start it, it stalls right away.

VATS owns you......
The VATS system is failing. It could be in the ignition switch, but the easiest way to kill it IMO is a custom tune (it's and excuse to mod your truck, btw, it's a truck, not a car

right suv car whatever. The dealer has replaced the passlock ignition cylinder and the vats housing and relearned the computer. Any ideas what it could be now. Also are there any ways to disable it to get the damn thing to start.

Ok now that thing is just pissing me off. Yesterday my girl tried to start and still no luck. Now its tuesday night, so 48 hours later and I got down here went out and the damn thing started. So does anybody have any idea why it would start now but not then we have not done a thing to it at all.
