...cam question. I am considering another cam after I get a trans and converter (3K stall). I did a bunch of research for a different cam that would work with the stock verter, but that is no longer the situation.

I am running Lloyd Elliott Stage 1 317s, that peak around 590 lift, so going higher wouldn't really be beneficial. Lift and lobe profile are not really a concern of mine, its more the duration of in and out that I have questions on. The other limiting factor is that I really don't want to spin past 6000, maybe 6500 (stock bottom end has 120K on it).

What durations should I be looking at to work well with a 3K stall and a 6500 shift point?

assuming this is for a 6.0, i'd keep it around 226ish tops. I had a 223/226 with a 3200 stall and it was a pretty good match. Also seen a 224 mated with a 3000 in 5.3's do good, I think that's about the max cam I'd go with personally with a 3000 stall
