I bought a set of seats from a local junkyard. The drivers seat belt wont retract back in. 99silver told me it's due to the fact when they are in an accident they lock into place for good. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this ? I don't mind tearing the covers off to work on the mechanism also I have my stock seats which are in good condition so if I need to move the parts over I can do that.

i would move the parts over. i heard the same about wrecked seatbelts.
