i beat a regency with my 4.8, mods in my sig, in the 1/8th mile. his was also an 07 classic, he claimed it had cam/intake/headers from the factory.. he just couldnt hook off the line, but he was def. pulling hard on the top of the track!! he wouldve caught and passed me in the 1/4.

yes but only the 5 speeds. They came with jba headers, intake, and exhaust

The 5.3L RSTs were automatic. They never had a magnacharger option. You are probably thinking of the Joe Gibbs trucks which were supercharged from the factory.

RSTs are nice looking truck but they're no more than .1-.2 faster than a stock truck with an equal powertrain

I have a 04 RST and I have to say it would be close. The thing that nobody has said yet, is that these trucks have that junk 5-speed. Banging gears in one of these is hard. I have yet to get a quick 2-3 shift. Ive heard others have the same problem.

if he is a 5-speed he had a 4.8 stock. the 5-speed helps the 4.8 alittle. but a modded 5.3 should take it. but like the others said watch for the mods you cant see.

Irregardless (Ha!), you should make it formal and video tape the thing when you challenge him. Maybe race for pinks? I want to see this now.

Yes they are, RST trucks are about 20-25 rwhp above a stock 4.8L with a 5 speed. That's good for maybe .1-.3 quicker.

We just sold a Regency 2WD 60 days ago, with 20's I do believe ( not GM Accessory wheels either) and it also had a supercharger on it when it was delivered to us. Deffinately not a Joe Gibbs truck. We've sold 3 of them with the blower in the past year and a half. A bit too pricey for me ($37,000 Reg.Cab)

But there are some out there that was equipped with a blower.
